What do young people think about the Personal Development Programme?

"At [The Zone] there is a programme called PDP which represents Personal Development Programme. So you are probably wondering what PDP is, well the name says it all. PDP is about developing your personal skills.

The skills you will develop with the PDP team are: meeting new people, working as part of a team, communication and many others. Everyone from PDP is friendly and helpful and anything you discuss will stay between you and the youth worker. That’s also part of the PDP team confidentiality.

With the PDP team you will go on day and week activities, but there are residentials where you go away for a week or so. There are also regular drop-ins and workshops organised by the PDP team.

The programme has helped me talk to people that I don’t know well and work with others. It has also made me more confident and I have made new friends.”
